Navigating the CDG-Booster Discord

If you're new to Discord, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick guide to help you get started and make the most of our community.

Step 1: Getting Started

  1. Join the Server

    • Once you’ve clicked the invite link, you’ll land on the server. Welcome aboard!

    • If prompted, create a free Discord account or log in with your existing one.

  2. Introduce Yourself

    • Visit the Welcome and Tutorial channel to get acquainted with the server’s rules and structure.

    • Say “Hi” in the General Discussions channel to introduce yourself to the community.

Step 2: Navigating Channels

Our server has different channels for specific purposes. Here’s a quick overview:

  1. Text Channels

    • 📢 News and Announcements: Stay updated with important project news and event info.

    • 💬 General Discussions: Chat with fellow members about anything and everything.

    • 🎓 Expert Mentoring: Ask business-related questions and get advice from experts.

    • 📚 Resources and Newsfeed: Find curated learning materials, links, and articles.

    • 🤝 Networking Lounge: Connect with others to collaborate or share ideas.

  2. Audio Channels

    • 🎙️ Expert Mentoring: Join live sessions with mentors and industry leaders.

    • 🎤 Live Events: Participate in project-hosted webinars, workshops, and discussions.

Step 3: How to Use the Channels

  • Text Channels: Click on a channel from the left-hand sidebar to read and post messages.

  • Audio Channels:

    1. Click on the channel name (e.g., 🎤 Live Events) to join.

    2. You’ll automatically be connected to the audio. Use the microphone icon at the bottom to mute/unmute yourself.

Step 4: Tips and Etiquette

  • Be Respectful: Treat others kindly, and keep conversations constructive.

  • Use Threads: Reply to specific messages to keep discussions organized.
